I will just say proprietary software is widely supported. So do you
propose that PHP become completely proprietary so you can give them a nice
$1000 a seat license fee and lose your ability to look under the hood?
Free software is not about being popular or being widely supported its
about being free. If you think SOAP is not influence by Microsoft, IBM
and the other propogating it think again. :) Why I dont dismiss it as a
joke or even useful, I will say having an open source project of this size
support it sends the wrong message.
