While I did not mean to start a holy war here...I challenge you to keep a
windows box up and running WITHOUT a reboot for more than 2 weeks. (Oh, and
the box has to be doing something other than just sitting there. IE it's
either acting as some kind of server, or else it's being used as a
workstation. It won't happen.)
Now my PERSONAL preference is not for VI but for Emacs but that is my
PERSONAL preference. While I will joke with those VI barbarians (:)), I do
agree that Unix is the way to go. If I could only find an HTML editor that
was like DreamWeaver for Unix, I'd switch in a heart beat. :)
