A million OSs and browsers that are compatible, rather than a handful are
not.
The difference between tyranny and freedom is who makes the laws. In
computers we call tyranny a monopoly and the laws are called standards. And
no, it doesn't necessarily mean the trains run any more on time, be the
citizens can certainly tell the difference.
