Your comments attempt to paint the comparison as a strictly tit-for-tat
engineering issue. The critical issue that you don't mention at all is
the issue of using a cross-platform open source system versus using a
proprietary limited platform one. No need nor room here to go over
the tradeoffs in that decision, suffice it to say that we go the
open source way, and feel that there are compelling reasons for doing
so.
