At least in theory, it'd be something like this:
$myObject = new COM("COMClassStringThatWouldGoInCreate.ServerObject");
$myObject->SomeMethod('Parameter for this method');
Unfortunate, the manual http://www.php.net/manual/ref.com.php is just a tad
minimalistic.
