Well I suppose both of them stand in their position :
ASP has support of tons of docs and stuff like COM,
which is potentially better designed in ASP than PHP.
PHP is the best choice for developers, if tested
probably faster and more efficient, the db API's are
better than ODBC stuff. PHP hides all the
complexities.
I think either on Win platforms or Unix, PHP should be
considered.
