Catching on the thread (my mail client will most likely start a new thread,
thanks to microsoft, i use outlook ;(
If I understood the thread correctly both packages aim in the same general
direction. The approach is a bit a bit different in that Enterprise A&A is
designed with web-service in mind whereas live user on provides a general
framework with a container approach. I believe (from current level of
comprehension of both packages) that liveuser is more flexible in that it
does oblige the end-user to use what containers are provided with it but
instead provides the means to easily add almost anything he/she has in mind.
Like markus wrote having a web service capability and/or single sign on
requires the work of writing the containers (which is quite a lot of work I
reckon ;). The idea is to keep the same API so the end-user code does not
have to change. Web-service containers would also be a great addition to the
package, providing a rather complete set of containers is a good thing imho.
This said I think there could be a merging of efforts, dividing when we
could all work together is not the way to go (tm). I have to look at the a&a
code to see how it is designed, maybe my assumptions were wrong, in which
case i apologize ;)
Keep up the discussion, the process might take a while :)
Arnaud.
