An app can make use of PEAR extensions and add-ons but I don't see the reason why an app should be stored in there. Same goes for the Forum stuff by the way... Bertrand Mansion MamasamI came up with an idea to create widget and theme layer on top of database, code generation, and locale abstruction layer. PEAR Application Development Framework Goal: Sharable "Look and feel": Users of this framework should be able to share configuration of themes. Abstruction of locale information(including error message for validating form input). Facilitate rapid and easy application development. Widget layer on top of existing PEAR's DB, and HTML classes. Possibly other classes.Yes. This is the kind of abstraction tool needed. It would be so nice to be able to divide a page into several panes and handle user actions transparently like in SWING, adding XML and database content management. But is it technically possible? How could existing PEAR objects be reused?
