Valid argument ... but I don't think I will make it part of my effort.
But then again anyone can jump in and do it. I would defiantly not make
it part of the basic functionality.

actually getCol() :-)
I was just listing them to inform everybody that this will defiantly
will be supported :-) (it was actually just a few minutes to add this
functionality to metabase - that is for the mysql part)
As to the factory issue: I will take a look at this tomorrow ... maybe I
am not getting this because its too late here :-)
I will supply some sample code of what I mean then.
