If you don't know any UML editors, I > suggest you to take a look on ArgoUML (http://www.argouml.org). puh, I learned UML at the university ... well I do like parts of it and some not ... I assume you are talking about class model and a function list? Shouldn't we be talking about features and goals first? In terms of features I want all metabase features plus a few little things: + Primary key support for table creation + A function for Integer conversion that quotes for mysql and postgresql etc. (to prevent malicious code .. obviously you could manually valid this before) that support quoted integers and just does a strval(intval($value)) for others + Get*() type functions + extension framework to extend the basic functionality for not porting certain features ... actually I do not know how the metabase users feel about their "old" fetch system as this also falls under the list of things I would consider redundant. Then again writing a wrapper around the get*() functions to allow the something like old metabase fetch functions would be probably much slower then how they are today ... Also as a side note: I am currently readying the release of my little companies first major product. The first big presentation will be on dec 12th with the press release a bit before that. So right now I am probably not going to produce a lot of code. Once this is out of the way my co-worker (Christopher Linn) and I will get to work as this is at the top of my list before I start anything else.
