I think that is a very important point: IMO lot's of people don't
expect PEAR DB to be a complete database independent system, but
they use it because it works damn smart, has great error handling
and makes querying databases very easy. (I think Stig also stated
this some ago.)
So lot's of people are afraid that PEAR DB will be a different thing
after the merge, that it will not be this smart to use etc.
