Until you prove that my points of view are wrong, I just assume that
when you disagree you may not be getting my points of view quite right.
So, for me it is quite logical that I keep trying to explain my points
of view until you understand them.

Actually you never bothered to discuss how to improve Metabase to make
it work as you claim it can't. Since you did not feel very much willing
to cooperate, that sounds just an excuse to not do it.
Unlike you, Lukas Smith and his partner approached to me and proposed to
add to Metabase what they felt it was missing. Now they are working on
it for the joy of everybody. When you are willing to talk reasonably,
things move along.

Unlike you, I am not ego driven, so if all this goes well, it will not
even make sense to call it DB_Metabase because there only be one
abstraction layer which may still be called PEAR-DB.

Maybe one day you stop to also agree that moving on a single abstraction
layer would be much better than a single plug to your commercial
product. There are not much tools like yours for either Metabase or
PEAR-DB. This is your opportunity to come with something already
developed. If you take too long, others will develop concurrent
applications that will eventually be free and your opportunity is dead.
