You are getting me wrong. Once again I repeat, my point with my proposal
of wrapping PEAR-DB around Metabase is to provide its features right
away to PEAR-DB users. I do not want any personal credit on this. If you
do not want to believe me, I'm sorry but I do not have simpathy for you,
as you are assuming I am lying and you don't trust the good intentions
of my proposal.

Fortunately, everytime there were big discussions with Rasmus, many good
things happened to PHP because somebody else that is certainly wiser
reckoned the merit of what I was claiming. I will not get into details
because that is way off-topic. I just wished that people also be wiser
on this and stop seeing my proposal as a personal quest of Manuel, but
rather of something for the benefit of PHP communtity.
