Clay Loveless (http://pear.php.net/user/clay) has commented on the proposal for
RFC::RFC_PackageVariableNamingConvention.
Comment:
Pierre, you're remembering incorrectly.
http://pear.php.net/manual/en/standards.naming.php
I'm not writing up RFCs just to pass the time. :)
However, since I've changed my position, and others feel like this isn't
even worth mentioning in the documentation, I'm prepared to drop the issue
and delete the RFC.
I've only brought it up this far since I've seen my own packages and
packages of others get complaints about variable names with references to
the CS guide, when no mention of variables actually exists in the CS
guide.
It seems like there _should_ be a mention of preference in the guide, and
for something as sensitive as the CS guide, a vote on an RFC seems the
best method to approve such a modification.
