Hello,

No, you got me wrong. I do not use PEAR code because I have my own classes that I developed and work reliably. I did them with the design that I think it is right and with my own style that I use for 12 years now since that is basically the same style that I used when I started using C.It is very likely that I never will use PEAR code. It is nothing personal to anybody. I just disagree with the design and the silly style requirements.Till this time I aggree with almost everything you wrote, but now I'm little bit confused with your opinions. You say, that you will never use any PEAR code, because of its design and silly style requirements. But wasn't that you, who transplanting opinion, that coding standarts are not relevant and important?
One time code is good and works well, it is not important that it is ugly coded. I think so, although I do welcome PEAR coding standarts for further easy maintaining and contributing. I suppose, that we have the same opinion at least on the first sentence. But now you say, that you will not use PEAR code because of its silly style, although it will be good and well-coded.There is nothing in PEAR that I need for myself. I am pretty much self suficient. But that is just me as not everybody can afford to think like that. Other than that, for new projects, I no longer program in PHP. I use a meta-language named MetaL that I have been developing for 3 years now, that allows me to write software in a high level syntax based on XML and the meta-programming engine can generate code in virtually any language like: PHP , Java, Perl, whatever. Many classes that I have made available were not really written in PHP but rather in MetaL. If you want to learn more information on this, you may access this site: http://www.meta-language.net/ . Anyway, obviously you may not apply everything I do to anybody else because I have my own techniques that some times can't be used by others. -- Regards, Manuel Lemos
