Well, you're most probably right. As far as I can say PhpDocumentor
seems to be the right way in the future. Perhaps it will generate
peardoc2 compatible output in one of the future versions - it mostly
does even yet.

I think ATM such kind of a guide should exist for new users of PEAR
and *especially for hosters and ISPs*. I also think that the number of
PEAR devs is not the real matter, but appropriate QA is.
