Just review the proposed code before posting things like "Hey, we've got the same in Horde !". By doing this, you make people think that the proposed package is actually a duplication. And again, I have nothing against duplication. QuickForm is a duplication of OOH_Form or PHPLib OO form and still, it is useful for a lot of people. > There's plenty of work to be done in the PEAR community, and I feel > that rewriting code that already exists is not the best use of our > developers' resources. The proposed code was not a rewrite of anything from Horde. Besides, it is not because it exists in Horde that there is not a better way to do it. > (Note that I make this statement generally; I'm not commenting on the > specific case of SCM_SVN, although it might apply.) > >>> He said he wasn't interested, and that was fine. >> >> No, people actually insisted even after Clay said no. > > Those were not Horde people. And, again, "insisted" is a strong word. Well, that's the word I use when someone said no and someone else said "come on". I don't see what is strong here. Bertrand Mansion Mamasam
