You still miss the point. You still have no idea about the reasons
and you still ignore the facts that I did not take this decision on
my own. Last but not least, it's not up to pear to decide such
things, good or bad, nothing I can do against that.
OK, then if we're all missing the point (well, I guess I might be the only idiot in the bunch) please tell us *EXACTLY* why this is happening?
1.) Did the PHP group say "PEAR is out until you fix your installer"?
2.) Did you mention this to the PEAR community *before* your blog post?
3.) Why didn't you ask the PEAR community for help if you had problems keeping up with the PHP release cycle?
Until you answer those questions I don't think I'm missing anything. I stand by my earlier statements. And, really, you can't answer #3 in any manner which would satisfy my complete disgust over your recent power trip.
