What makes a framework *work* is the shared guidelines ("coding standards", if you will) that allow package developers to make assumptions about how other packages are going to work.I very much agree to Hans. There should be one standard way errors are handled. From the view of a maintainer its nicer to have choice which suits your skills, preferences or time frame during development. But it makes the end users (non-developers) life easier to have a defined way errors are presented to him. -- mit freundlichen Grüßen email ~ m@tacker.org Markus Tacker url ~ http://m.tacker.org/ icq ~ 91709561
