I actually liked a proposal that someone else had implemented where they used a callback function in PEAR_Error to throw exceptions. The catch is trying to get everything to work on both PHP4 (PEAR_Error) and PHP5 (PEAR_Exception).
I'd also like to see integration in PEAR_Exception with PEAR_Error. For instance, I'd like to be able to throw PEAR_Error's as PEAR_Exception's without having to call all sorts of functions. In other words, PEAR_Exception should be aware of PEAR_Error and "import" as much information from the PEAR_Error as possible.
