The discussion is not about moving to php5 or not, neither why people
don't move, but about forcing exception usages or let the developers
choose (the 3rd choice to force pear_error(Stack) is, imho, as wrong as
forcing exception).
That said, you are again missing the point. The problem is rarely (if
not never) the server itself but what the server runs or with
the 3rd party tools a given app has to interact. But that's offtopic.
