Hi, David Coallier wrote: Well then we'll wait after the elections as the elected will have to decide upon rules for the rules and way of proceeding with pepr, new packages (refactored to php5) etc. I have a running version now of HTTP_Request2 but yes, Net_Socket & Net_Curl are php4, thus stopping us from going further. Let's put that discussion on hold until after the elections. So instead of trying to cooperate with me you hope to twist my arms after the elections. That's nice, you've just secured (at least) one vote against you.
I think we just have some communication problems going on. Alexey (and I for that matter) want a proper rewrite of v2 in cooperation people and do a fairly good first release (or that's how I understand what you said) Opposed to other people seem to want to do a quick alpha of v2 which is essentially v1 with E_STRICT and exceptions and enhance it as time goes on and thus end with the same result as the first group wants. Anyway I think the latter approach is a bit eerie since not doing a clean API from the beginning will make people go "ahh we'll clean it up later when we've done this X and Y feature" and such Anyway just wanted to try to clarify things a bit. - Helgi
