Well, I will admit... I have been unsuccessful all day. I need it to run localy on my machine because I do a lot of work while I am traveling. Postgres seems nice, granted, if you can get it to work. Cygwin seemed to go onto my machine no problem, however, Postgres just couldn't start. Anyhow, does anyone know if they are ever planning on releasing a win copy?

For those unfamiliar with Postgres, there are wonderful tools like PGAdmin and PGAccess. You don't have to have a local copy of the database on your own machine. Cygwin is a little difficult but is definately doable. I don't think anyone should rule out Postgres, even without a full released Windows version, until they have looked at it. Here's your chance to justify your Linux box. I don´t know when it´s gonna be out, though.Ist not going to suppirt windoes natively. They dropped this for the 7.4 release.
