It is very unlike that Wine will improve significantly in any given amount of
time (included geological ages) because M$ (purposely) documented its library
(win32) so bad that it is practically impossible to understand how it works
and replicate it.
There is a nice document on the Wine web site that explains how the usual
M$ documentation (the same docu that every programmer gets with DevStudio) is
able to keep Open Source programmers from reverse-engineering M$ products
much better than encrypting the code!
