Yes, a BC version, a new major version of Mail_Mime would be the best
I believe. But if it's not possible with the current API and it's not
possible to maintain BC (didn't have time to take a look at both APIs
right now - only following Heino's explainations) then this might not
work out.
Heino, think again if it's possible to maintain BC with Mail_Mime and
just launch a new major version. (If the maintainers of Mail_Mime
agree - but I hope this can be discussed open-minded ... for the sake
of "pear-as-a-whole", not personal attitudes).
