My only desire, thus far, has been for Savant to have equal footing in PEAR, so that one is not perceived as "more PEAR" than the other, and thus "PEAR-ness" cannot be used as a deciding factor for one over the other. That is my only (only!) leading point on the unification issue. Other people want Savant in PEAR too, so it's not just me. -- Paul M.
