Hi, Daniel, replying (against your orders ;-) so I can attempt to model good behavior. :-)
To be honest, and given my prior collaboration and extension efforts with some developers, I thought it *would* be necessary for anyone to take a collaboration seriously. I am very, very happy that I was wrong. I don't take this as a defeat for Savant, I take it as a win for PEAR. :-) -- Paul M. Jones Savant: the simple alternative to Smarty for PHP. http://phpsavant.com/ DB_Table: build RDBMS tables and XHTML forms in one PHP class. http://wiki.ciaweb.net/yawiki/index.php?area=DB_Table Yawiki: your collaborative online documentation system. http://yawiki.com/ Yawp: a single-file foundation for PHP applications. http://phpyawp.com/... snip ...The real funny part is both Paul and Alan have publically stated they are willing to work on a new combinded templateAbsolutely I think Alan wants to do it (well, his -1 gives me some pause). My only desire, thus far, has been for Savant to have equal footing in PEAR,As I see from _skimming_ the later threads, you two, among others, are hashing out how to build a really great templating system. Savant doesn't need to be in PEAR for that to happen.
