I don't recall anybody stating that before and everybody agreeing.
Anyway, I think you missed the original proposal about merging Metabase
into PEAR where important benefits were presented. You may find it here:
http://news.php.net/article.php?group=php.pear.dev&article=2959
Please read it carefully. If you do not agree, please state your reasons
and if possible present alternatives that you consider that would be
necessary to make this proposal viable in the shortest period of time.
Anyway, it is pointless to spend time writing more messages to say the
same that was said before. If you don't agree with a merger in these
terms and do not want it to happen elect yourself or somebody
representing your opinion to vote against this proposal in PEAR
adminsitration to be elected to evaluate these decisions.
What I would appreciate is that people that do not want this to happen
and will do everything that thay can to stop it, just step up and speak
openly instead of just stalling the process foreverwith arguable
excuses. If things are not going to happen, many of us want to know
about it soon because it is not reasonable to spend all this time
discussing an utopia.
