If I didn't understand wrong, the goals are to pearify Metabase and
commit it to PEAR no? If so, IMHO the correct place is here. Also I know
that guys from other abstractions layers track this list.

No more lists please :-). PHP lists are enough comfortable to access it
from email, web or news. Other lists could suscribe them selves to
pear-dev.
