All it needs to be released are methods in the container classes to add or delete a user. I´ve proposed it for inclusion in PEAR a while ago and received one +1 on the list, but besides of that there was very little feedback. It seems everyone agrees that we need such a thing, but when it comes to actually adopting one, people are more hesitant :-) If there´s a concensus to make it a part of PEAR, I will continue working on it and add the last few features - but as it already works very fine for me, I don´t see the need if nobody else wants it.
