I've posted a few Photoshop comps I pulled together months ago to give you an idea of the direction I was headed. Take or leave anything you see here. Please don't take the colors seriously at all... I think there are even two link colors in some of the files and the teal one especially doesn't work that well. A few general notes:Hi All, I've posted a search mock-up that I put together this evening. The idea isn't particularly unique, but it could be a fun alternative to the search drop-down menu that we have currently. As I was putting it together, I had doubts that we could make this perform. Would something like this be possible with the current traffic load and search infrastructure? http://ambitious.ca/php/search-1.png Stew ps. Daniel, don't hate because it has gradients :)
