I have tried and I have tried and I have tried. Eventually I gave up
so I can honestly say that I do not care anymore about windows related
fuckups.

Wow. Thats really slow.
On the otherhand ca.php.net isn't running sqlite, so it gets dozens of
stat()s on every manual-lookup.php hit, and generally much slower code
path.
Try ca2 or ca3, which I hope are much faster.
