To be honest, this fast-moving hydra-headed conversation about redesigning PHP.net is confusing for me. Perhaps let's break this discussion up and try to make some decisions? I suggest we group email threads for the major points of discussion:
1) Site Structure – How can we better organize the site? I have some ideas for this which I'll post next.
2) Search – How can the search UI and technology be improved?
3) Homepage – Who comes here and why? What belongs? What doesn't belong?
4) Documentation – What (if any) improvements should happen here?
5) PHP.net Identity – Should we change the logo? Should we alter colors? Etc.
–) Others?
I know that some discussions won't fit cleanly into any of these categories but it may be easier to follow and make decisions with things segmented out a bit.
