I'll state it again, loud and clear, that references were *not* designed to enable you to create recursive data structures, and they perform very badly for this purpose. The leakage issue can be very serious - for instance, a leaking data structure that leaks 30 bytes, can end up leaking megabytes if it's put in a loop.just stas ensured that I don´t have to worry about, no one puts these in a looped structure, but I found it quite essential in OO communication in PHP and speed-wise it performs good, better then copying the required data into other objects and that´s not the only reason to use these... my current problems (only) with circ-refs: a) circ-refs leak (a bit) doesn´t matter in most cases b) var_dump() does not work with them if there are more, please tell...
