There are lots of different tutorials and articles on lots of different sites, and referencing them from the manual would be a much better start, then starting off from scratch. I just fail to understand why zeev is blocking this, sorry.just to clarify, PHP developers != core developers, in this case... because I *assume* that core developers are more on C/++ instead of writing PHP apps...
