I agree with you to some extent, but it's not always true. There are issues (e.g. the references issue, that started this whole thread) that an end user could have never gotten to accurately, without consulting the people who wrote the code.
Thus it´s greatly appreciated that you´ve an eye over these issues and take the time in participating these discussions, so that your knowledge penetrates to those who actual write the manual pages, to avoid that you need to write them yourselves... Maybe it´s time for some conclusion: - the actual reference should be compact but complete - additonal information which could be helpful, important or have tutorial aspects and exceed the reference aspect can be added to features maybe language Maybe we should on including tutoring man-pages and extending the reference reference to common misunderstandings - phpdoc experiences - bugs.php.net tells us - other lists tell -- o----------0-¬---------O-·---¬----o---®-----o o O ° . | http://www.kiffen.de | pRoteçt y0ur bRaín |0 O ° ¤ ° · 0°·³°²'²³-¹'³´³°^°³~³²³°'³²²¨³²^³¹³²°²³`³º³°Þ ° o © ° . · | psychedelic experience | gott@kiffen.de | O ° o ° o-¬--o--0-----©-·--O-----o-----0-¤----------o 0 ° · ° . ¤ ·
