To be honest, it is not exactly the same as using simply
go-pear.org :)
I added a script (in the mean time fixed/enhanced by Edin and Wez)
to fetch the required packages using a predefined list of versions.
The versions are defined in cvs:
php-src/pear/go-pear-list.php
This file is now used only for windows releases.
The original idea was to do that for each single releases but was
rejected for various reasons (messing configure and other
understable effects).
I think it's more than required to do it now for source based
releases as well. Now being either already for 5.1 (do not like the
idea to mess too much the config thingies while being in RC stages)
or in 6.0.
