I really think all of you are really taking this whole thing too far. Geeks: You know how to use Procmail don't you? RTFM if you don't. <g> Go setup some filters for yourself and deal with it. Newbies: I don't know about anyone else, and I don't particularlly care, but, Any newbies out there who need help, please feel free to e-mail me directly using this e-mail address: someone@internetaddress.com. (Yes, that is a real e-mail address) I would be happy to help you in any way I can. I think it's foolish to think you can change the whole darn system because there are a few of you out there who think your getting too much e-mail. I don't know about the rest of you but I was warned before hand the amount of e-mail on this list... I have filters that go through and sort out this list and even follow the threads for me... I've got no problems, I don't see why any of you should either. For the php advanced list to work it means some form of moderation, whether by an appointed moderator or the list members themselves pointing 'newbie' questions (politely) to the apppropriate list. The list **is** becoming too big (IMHO), some days I get over 150 messages and get to archive over 1500 messages every ten days or so. As an intermediate level PHP programmer I would use both lists (so no change in the quantity of mails then), some days I would use the advanced list and other days the beginner list. If I knew the answer to a question I hope I'd post to either list. At least the newbies wouldn't feel so freaked about asking questions, and the geeks could chew on raw code.
