Hi Tony,
Thanks for submitting this example, it sounds very interesting. Some initial feedback:
- Besides config.php I had to also change one thing inside index.php for the example to work: $configData was set to a default which did not match my own setup. Perhaps you can move this variable to config.php.
- I got a *lot* of php NOTICES:
*Notice*: Undefined variable: xmlData in */pub/www/respect.terena.nl/MVC/XMLLoader.class.php* on line *64*
*Notice*: Undefined index: DEFAULT in */pub/www/respect.terena.nl/MVC/MVC_XMLParser.class.php* on line *213*
etc..
etc..
Other than that it works fine and I'll supress the notices by turning them off in the config.php and have a closer look at how thing actually work.
Regards,
Jeroen

Per a thead from a few months ago on the feasibility of including design patterns in PEAR, I am offering up the one example that I feel makes sense...a PHP implementation of the MVC design pattern I call MVCnPHP. This package is purely a framework that can be used in applications to make them more maintainable and more reusable. The MVC design pattern does require a slight shift in thought on how you develop PHP applications with it but I argue the benefits are real. While this is a framework, it is useless without seeing it in action so, to that end, I have built a demo that is included. I consider this code to be a release candidate leaving room for a few tweaks. For those who are unaware of the MVC design pattern please see the following: http://ootips.org/mvc-pattern.html http://www.phppatterns.com/index.php/article/articleview/11/1/8/ http://www.phppatterns.com/index.php/article/articleview/19/1/1/ What I have does not aim to be a Struts compatible implementation (just an FYI for any Java developers out there).
