Generally I would agree. Patterns are typically on-the-fly design
decisions. However the MVC, IMHO, is the one outlier. It *is* a pattern
that could be code generically for use in any PHP application. This
notion is supported in part by the very fact that the MVC has been
implemented in Struts.
I don't think anyone can appreciate what I just said without becoming
familiar with the MVC pattern first so I'd encourage you peruse the code
and the sample application that uses it.
