Dear all,
I saw this on PHPDeveloper.org today: http://www.zend.com/news/pr.php?id=102
To summarise, Zend has allied with Paypal to advance PEAR::SOAP.
Now, unless one of the active leads (CC'ed) are currently working for
Paypal, theres no guarantee that Paypal will contribute a damn thing to
PEAR... and I don't like them being misleading.
So whats the deal, leads?
Did Zend overstep their mark and not consult us (well, PEAR Group).
Did PEAR Group not inform us? (pear-devs)
Should we come up with some general procedure to allow companies
to easily contribute money/man-power to PEAR projects? Some sort of
opt-in (for package leads for their packages) scheme where by
it notes their interest in having companies put some money/man-power
and to contact them to move forward with that...
