Hello,

My projects user base are precisely PHP developers. You may wish to demonstrate that the user base is different, but indeed it isn't. I could point many of such developers that inclusively contribute to PHP and PEAR development. Obviously I won't because I prefer that they speak for themselves. Anyway, more than being developers, they are human beings that have needs that match well known patterns. I did not discovered those patterns of behaviour and needs. Other people have discovered those patterns and have written a lot about them. I just studied them and adapted to the specifics of my projects. What I am suggesting is that is done for boosting the motivation and many more developers to give an extra hand to the PHP/PEAR projects. It seems to me that some people feel that many more developers coming to these projects would be a threat for the recognition that some that are already in could gain. I don't see that as a threat but I can understand why others see it that way. It is a conflict of goals that needs to be sorted by those in charge that do not feel that threat. -- Regards, Manuel LemosYes, because I think that you systematically *OVER*estimate your real world experience and in the same second you are *UNDER*estimating the experience of other people.I don't measure experience with opinions, only with facts. If I tried something that worked well, that is an irrefutable fact.Have you seen the film "Memento"? If not: do it! You learn alot about so called "facts" ;-) Just consider that 2 diffrent scenarios need diffrent solutions. I don't say that you are wrong in this special case, because I just don't know if you are or not ... Maybe your projects had slighty diffrent goals, or a diffrent user base, or it was just an other time or what so ever ... just _consider_ that it's not always possible to generally use the "facts" you won in one special situation.
