Well, there's too many text for understanding what's the problem. I really
don't believe somebody will ever have time to read all this except for
historical reasons. What we need is not PHP object system bashing (which
takes up to 80% of all text in #5377) but a summary of what really do you
want.
As for reference serializing (second thisn in #5377)- it's most probably
is out (unless someone finds a good way to do it). References are too
internal concept to be included into serialization. You can use hashes for
the same thing. You don't require C++ to preserve pointers when
serializing data - you write your own functions to do it. Do this for PHP
too.
