Well, somehow you assume bringing your features will cut development time
in half. Where did you take these figures from?
Estimated, sure. Generally it should point out that non-OO code is harder to reimplement, reuse and to manage. I´d rather use OO with a 2x performance decrease than suffering an (?X) amount of time bushwhacking through foreign code, perhaps that factor ranges between 1-20x, due to complexity.
