It makes no difference whether it is OO or not.
Badly written code is hard to maintain. Period.
In fact, I would go further, badly written OO code is harder to
maintain than badly written procedural code, as you must fight the
architecture, not just the code.
OO is not the silver bullet that people often make it out to be, just
adding it to PHP will not magically create 'good' programs.
