Well if we do follow through with this idea of PEAR 2.0, then I agree that we should probably not bother with applying this PEAR_ prefix to PEAR 1.0. However, PEAR 2.0 has been looming on the horizon for quite some time .. a lot of people have spoken up .. but there is still no structure in all of these proposals (including whatever I threw in) .. so we are still far from any decisions. regards, Lukas
