Ah well, at least you see yourself it's a rant. You do even have a
point (I haven't touched a WYSIWYG HTML-editor in years), but only as
long as you do design in-house, and code for yourself. PEAR should be
for everyone.
I've used PHPlib-templates (almost identical to IT[X] on template side,
not on PHP-side), we sold our application, and some of our customers
changed the design of the frontend themselves. Should we've told them
they need better designers?
Believe me, there are cases when you NEED the simplicity of
IT[X]-style templates.
