I know that. But ITX offers some useful features, which aren't in
other template engines. Callbacks, for example.
The main reasons IT[X] souldn't be removed from PEAR are :
it already used by programmers and it has strong and useful concept.
I think we should try to fix problems, not avoid them.
This is the right way, I think.
