Yeah, that's something I'd like to see in IT[X], besides
compilation and other things, and I don't think it's impossible to do
it or would break the concept of IT[X].
IT[X] programming iterface is really nice, the best i've seen so far.
Ulf may not have the time to maintain IT[X], but he did a
really good job on the API. I don't think we should abandon IT[X], but
rather improve it, it's concept is too good.
Still, IT[X] and Smarty are different concepts and there should be room
for both in PEAR.
