Look at the function names for mysql_* and the aliases. And then compare it with the pg_* function names. With the MySQL functions it was some years ago possible, to introduce a new consistend naming scheme. All function names for MySQL which have been real functions in PHP/FI are now aliases and doumented as such. Since 1997 there haven't been much effort to use a consistend naming scheme. Most authors of extensions adopted it and there should only affected some very old extenstions. I don't see any need to change something with the standard functions. Can you remember the change from ii_* to ingres_* ? Since I have improved the function prototypes the last years. It would be nice if someone can complete the protos. To find the missing protos, look at Hartmut's http://www.zugeschaut-und-mitgebaut.de/php or http://zend.com/phpfunc. -Egon -- http://www.linuxtag.de/ http://php.net/books.php http://www.concert-band.de/ http://www.php-buch.de/
